Come and Sing Handel’s Messiah
31st October 2015 @ 13:30 - 18:30£10
Join Bromyard Choral Society for an afternoon of making music together and a ‘scratch’ performance of Handel’s familiar and much-loved Messiah (most of Part 1 and excerpts from Parts 2 and 3). No need to be a regular singer or to know the score.
Conductor Sir Richard Mynors, Organist John Jenkin.
Adults £10, Students £2 – this includes hire of scores where needed (we will use the Novello Watkins Shaw edition) and tea and cake refreshments.
Please book a place in advance with Patsy Marson (see Organiser details) using this form, giving her your name, address, telephone number, email address and voice part (soprano/alto/tenor/bass); and send her a cheque for your participation fee (payable to Bromyard Choral Society) at Stocks Tree, Preston Wynne, Hereford HR1 3PB to arrive by Saturday 24th October. If you want to be considered to sing one of the solo arias, please ensure that your booking is received by 30th September.
It will also be possible to pay on the door, even without prior booking – but in this case there can be no guarantee that a score will be available for you. To save time at the door please bring all the above details with you.
